KAWS: WHAT PARTY @ the Brooklyn Museum delayed 2 Wks until Feb 26

Originally slated to open (and tix already sold) on February 12, “KAWS: WHAT PARTY” KAWS”, long awaited return to the Brooklyn Museum has been delayed by 2 weeks and is now opening on Friday, February 26, 2021. All previous tickets purchased for the original dates have been cancelled and customers have been refunded.

If you wish to still attend the show (which of course why wouldn’t you) visitors will have to go through the same process of purchasing tickets based on a day and a time slot on the Brooklyn Museum website. Ticket holders were notified by email on Wed, Jan 27, 2020 and received a discount code to receive 10% off their rebooking.

The exhibition is on view Wednesdays-Sundays, 11 am–6 pm (last entry at 4:30 pm).

KAWS is returning after almost 5 years to Brooklyn Museum, the largest Art Museum in his home borough. Opening in February 2021, “WHAT PARTY” is the latest large scale exhibit for KAWS, where over 100 pieces are to be displayed. Expect to see paintings, prints, sculptures, and furniture from the late 90s to today.

The first exhibit that featured KAWS in the Brooklyn Museum was entitled “ALONG THE WAY” and ran from June 2015 through March 2016. The exhibit included original paintings and a large scale sculpture of
